Friends of the Library Scholarship
Now Accepting Submissions for 2011!
Student must meet the following requirements:
1. Standard Application.
2. 3.0 GPA or higher.
3. Financial need (determined through information provided on the application).
4. Complete a minimum of 150 volunteer hours at the NSB Regional Library over two-years certified by a library staff member. (If applying as a senior, a minimum of 100 volunteer hours is required).
5. Submit a typed essay of at least 200 words about the library and the experience of volunteering.
6. Provide one letter of recommendation from a teacher and one from a library staff member.
7. Have a valid Volusia County Public Library card in good standing and sign a waiver that allows the library to verify the card’s status.
